What a pre-built won't tell you, we put on the invoice.

Every part named

Motherboard model, memory speed and latency, power supply brand and rating. No proprietary OEM boards, no unbranded power supplies, no bloatware. Every PSU we fit is a named 80+ Gold unit.

Dual-channel memory, always

We never fit a single stick of RAM. Single-channel memory can cost 15–20% of your frame rate, and it's one of the most common corners cut in cheap pre-builts.

Built to order, tested before it leaves

We don't hold stock, so you don't pay for a warehouse. Every PC gets the latest BIOS, a tuned memory profile and a stability check before it's packed.

Why memory costs what it does right now

AI data centres are buying up most of the world's memory chips. Consumer DDR5 RAM, SSDs and graphics memory have all gone up with it. It's why pre-built prices jumped, and why some brands quietly switched to single-channel RAM and slower drives to hold their sticker price.

We show you where the market actually is, then spend your budget where it buys performance:

  • For tight esports budgets, a dual-channel 2×8GB kit is the honest choice at today's prices. Never one 16GB stick.
  • Gaming processors have come down while memory went up. The Ryzen 7800X3D and 9800X3D are the best value in a build right now.
  • AMD's RX 9070 cards currently give more video memory per pound than most of NVIDIA's range.
  • Your price is locked when you pay. If a part drops before we order it, you get the difference back.

Questions

How can you charge nothing on top of the parts?

We don't hold stock. You pay upfront, we buy your exact parts at retail, and you get the receipts. We make our money from the build fee and any add-ons you choose.

Why do I pay the full amount upfront?

It means we never carry stock or debt, which is what keeps prices honest. Your payment goes straight into your parts, ordered the same day, and your order confirmation lists every part and price.

Can I pay a deposit and save up?

Yes. Pay a deposit to hold your build, then pay the rest whenever suits you, in one go or bit by bit. We order your parts once it's fully paid, and we'll check prices with you before your final payment. Your deposit is fully refundable until then.

Why is RAM so expensive at the moment?

AI data centres are buying most of the world's memory production, which has pushed consumer DDR5 and SSD prices to multi-year highs. We'll always show you current prices and the best way to build around them.

How long does a build take?

Usually 5–10 working days from payment. Parts take 2–5 days to arrive, then we build, set up and test. Your quote includes a firm estimate.

What warranty do I get?

Every part keeps its full manufacturer warranty, often 2 to 10 years, and you get the receipts. On top of that, our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months, and you can extend it to 3 years as an add-on. Your legal rights for faulty goods always apply. Accidental or cosmetic damage after delivery isn't covered. The full details are in our terms of sale.

Can I return a custom PC?

Each PC is built to your specification, so there's no 14-day change-of-mind return once parts are ordered. If something is faulty, your legal rights apply in full and we'll put it right. We photograph every PC and record every serial number before it leaves us, so any problem can be sorted out quickly and fairly.

Do you deliver to the Highlands and islands?

Yes, by insured courier anywhere in the UK. Collection from Elgin is free, and we'll show you round the build when you pick it up.

Do you build Intel systems?

Yes, on request. AMD's AM5 platform currently gives the best gaming value and upgrade path, so our starting builds use it, but we'll spec whatever suits what you do.
